Department of Employment and Economic Development - Contamination Cleanup and Investigation Grant Program
Employment and Economic Development, Department of
This program provides funding for investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites for private or public redevelopment. Cities, port authorities, housing and redevelopment authorities, economic development authorities, or counties are eligible. Both publicly- and privately-owned sites with known or suspected soil or groundwater contamination qualify for this program.
Department of Public Safety - Homeland Security and Emergency Management Grants
Public Safety, Department of
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) administers 17 state and federal grant programs. In fiscal year 2009 alone, HSEM awarded grants totaling approximately $81.5 million to more than 300 local governments and other entities. More than 80 percent of the grant monies received by HSEM will be passed through to local governments. The majority of the federal grant monies awarded by HSEM is obtained from the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The division also receives and administers federal grants from the Department of Commerce and the Department of Transportation. Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board
The Minnesota Emergency Services Regulatory Board offers grant programs that support the provision of emergency medical services throughout Minnesota. Programs include EMT-B training reimbursement and emergency medical services volunteer recognition.
